taskmaster, and I worked on
the steps for months before I
was integrated into the pro-
duction, playing the role of
the father?'
(Though his performance
gained him national atten-
tion through an article that
appeared in the New York
Times, Faxon stressed that he
found professional ballet "not
something I coveted return-
ing to.")
Now, he's taken up another
artistic pursuit.
"One of the few things I
haven't done on a stage is solo
as an instrumentalist," he
said.
With that, he went to the
piano and delivered a brief
rendition of Beethoven's
"Moonlight Sonata."
"I don't read music," he
said, apologizing for a few
missed notes. "I just learned
this by memory."

Concert Mcnday

A program of classical and
semi-classical choral favorites
will be presented by Bel Can-
to Choral Society at its an-
nual spring concert at 8 p.m.
Monday at Congregation
Beth Shalom. Music of
Brahms, Rachmaninoff, Ger-
shwin and other well known
composers will be featured by
the choral.
The chorale is conducted by
Denise Ogden and accom-
panied by Rochelle Barr.
