Suburban Tikvah Lodge will
hold its annual tribute dinner
on behalf of State of Israel
Bonds at 6 p.m. June 28 at
Adat Shalom Synagogue, an-
nounced Arthur Josephson,
lodge president.
Honored at the event,
celebrating Israel's 40th an-
niversary year, will be
Jeanette and Oscar Cook,
long-time members of the
lodge and its associate
chapter.
The Cooks have been
members of Congregation
Beth Shalom since its
founding.
Mrs. Cook is a life member
and past president of the Mar-
shall Suburban Chapter and
has served for 20 years as its
fund-raising "Entertainment
Book" chairman. She is a life
member of the National

a member of the League of
Jewish Women's Organiza-
tions, the Sinai Hospital
Guild, the Jewish Home for
Aged Auxiliary and the
Friends of Hillel Day School.
Cook is a past president and
a 45-year member of Marshall
Suburban Lodge. He served
in the U.S. Navy with duty in
the Pacific Theater, was a cub-
master with Boy Scouts of
America and is an active
member of American Jewish
Congress. He is also a
volunteer worker for the
Jewish Vocational Service
and the "Meals on Wheels"
program of the Jewish Fami-
ly Service.
Together, the Cooks support
the Israel Bond program, the
Jewish National Fund and
the Jewish Association for
Retarded Citizens. They are
each recipients of many B'nai
B'rith awards and honors.
Chairing the dinner is Max
Kushner; a tribute committee
is in formation. For reserva-
tions, call Israel Bonds,
557-2900.
