NEWS Peace Forum Skirts Issues Atlanta (JTA) — Jews and Muslims in Atlanta are tak- ing tenative steps to explore Mideast peace together. But while they coverd common religious ground at two recent events, they seemed to skirt around issues that might have provoked confrontation. Only 50 people, including Jews, Muslims, Christians and Quakers, attended a re- cent peace forum at the Mar- tin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Change. The turnout was slight compared to the 175 Muslims, Chris- tians and Jews who attended a similar forum in Kansas Ci- ty, Mo., March 24. The participants managed to avoid confrontation by directing their criticism toward the Reagan ad- ministration, apportioning collective blame for the deadlock in the Mideast and generally calling for co- existence among Jews and Arabs in the Mideast and elsewhere. 13405 CAPITAL at Coolidge OAK PARK LI 4-2212 Betw. 7 and 8 Mile Roads 14441 W. 11 Mile Rd.
