Interment Detroit. Louis Barden Louis E. Barden, an at- torney with offices in the First National Building, died May 27 at age 75. Born in London, Ont., Mr. Barden was graduated from Wayne State University's law school in 1935, and practiced law for more than 50 years. He was the first president of Tikvah Lodge of B'nai B'rith, past president of the B'nai B'rith Council of Metro- politan Detroit, on the board of governors of B'nai B'rith District Six and on the Na- tional Commission of Veteran Affairs. Mr. Barden received the State of Israel Freedom Award in 1987. He leaves his wife, Mamie; a son, Elliot of Pacific Palisades, Calif.; and a brother, Albert. Mollie Zolkower Mollie Zolkower, former co- owner of the Zolkower Department Stores, died May 27 at age 94. Born in Poland, Mrs. Zolkower was a life member of Congregation Shaarey Zedek and was to be honored soon as a 50-year member. Mrs. Zolkower was a member of Pioneer Women and Hadassah. She leaves a sister, Bella Wiss; seven grandchildren, Shelly Beck, Mark Stern, Elissa Grossman, Susan Kessler, Rick Zolkower, Thrry Matlin and Harry Zolkower; and nine great-grand- children.
