Hannah Galantis and
Brian H. Schiff were married
recently at the Southfield
Hilton. Rabbi Noah Gamze of
the Downtown Synagogue
officiated.
The bride is the daughter of
Miriam Abraham Galantis of
Detroit. The bridegroom is
the son of Dr. and Mrs. Ar-
thur B. Schiff of Rancho
Mirage, Calif. The couple are
graduates of Wayne State
University.
The bride's sister, Emily

Galantis, was the matron of
honor. The bridesmaids were
Elizabeth Schiff and Jennifer
Rosenfeld. The best man was
the bridegroom's brother,
Cary Schiff.
The ushers were Barry
Rosenfeld and Steven Schiff.
Also participating in the
ceremony were the bride's un-
cle, Elias Abraham, and the
bridegroom's grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. Max Rosenfeld.
The couple is residing in Oak
Park.

Mr. and Mrs. Brian Schiff

Reuben B. Resnik, whose
wartime experience with the
0.5.5. included the resuce of
Jews from the Holocaust, will
be the guest speaker at the
June 12 annual meeting and
noon luncheon of the Jewish
Historical Society of
Michigan at the Maple/Drake
Jewish Community Center.
Resnik will talk about his
wartime experiences with the
0.5.S.
Resnik is a life member of
the Veterans of the 0.5.5., ser-
ving as a member of that
group during World War II.
He attained the rank . of
colonel.
He is a recipient of Italy's
highest decoration for
"distinguished and
meritorious service to the
Italian People." Resnik was
also decorated by Pope Pius
XII for his assistance to the
Italian people.
Following the war, he serv-

ed as a lobbyist in
Washington on behalf of the
war's victims. He is also one
of the founders and
developers of Brandeis
University.
