Bond Women
Have Art Tour
The Sponsor Society of the
Metro Detroit Israel Bond
Women's Division will hold
its sixth annual art and home
tour on June 16 it was an-
nounced by Barbara
Stollman, division chairman.
Eligibility for participation
in the tour is involvement in
support of Israel's economic
development through a 1988
purchase of Israel Bonds on
levels of $1,500 or more. Pur-
chases may have been made
earlier in 1988 or may be
made on the tour day.
Sponsors will receive pins
designed exclusively for the
1988 Sponsor Society by
renowned Israel artist
Michael Ende.
This year's tour, scheduled
from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.,
will visit the homes of Bar-
bara and Irving Nusbaum,
Miriam and Jack Shenkman,
and Drs. Phoebe and Harris
Mainster, where a luncheon
will be served. Tour buses will
be provided.
Chairing the event is Myr-
na Partrich; associate chair-
man is Elaine Sabbota.
There is no charge. For

Foundation, a recently form-
ed philanthropy that provides
financial support to women's
and girls' organizations
statewide, will launch an an-
nual celebration Thursday
which will recognize the ex-
ceptional achievements of
Michigan women in a wide
variety of occupations.

year's
event,
"Celebrating Michigan
Women in the Arts," will
honor eleven Michigan
women artists. Among them
are: Syril Miles (Community
Outreach); Aviva Robinson
(Painting); Lynne Avadenka

The Greater Detroit
Chapter of Hadassah will
host its ninth annual
Women's Open Tennis Tour-
nament at the Franklin Rac-
quet Club June 1-3.
All area women are invited
to participate in either
singles or doubles. Hadassah
will provide lunch on June 1,
refreshments, tennis shirts,
balls and trophies.
Entry fees are tax-
deductible and help support
cardio-vascular research at
Hadassah Hospital in
Jerusalem.
Entry forms are available
at many area racquet clubs.

Support Group
Michigan Cancer Founda-
tion's department of patient
and family services will hold
the first meeting of its breast
cancer support services pro-
gram on Thursday at 7 p.m. at
foundation headquarters, 110
E. Warren, Detroit.
The group is open to breast
cancer patients and their
families and has no fee.
