Women's League Gives
Award To Mrs. Silverfarb
At a special ceremony, the
League of Jewish Women's
Organizations honored Betty
Silverfarb "in recognition of
her dedication and support"
for many humanitarian,
educational, and cultural
causes, both in the United
States and in the State of
Israel.
She was presented with a
"Certificate of Award" scroll
which confered upon her the
title of honorary life member.
Mrs. Silverfarb has
volunteered for the Meals on
Wheels program for 10 years
and along with her husband,
Grant, established the Meals
on Wheels Fund to assure its
continuation.
She is a past president of
her Women's American ORT
chapter and the Business and
Professional Chapter, B'nai
B'rith Women. She is a Heart
of Gold honoree. Life member
of Hadassah, Pioneer women
Naamat National Council of
Jewish Women and the
Jewish Home for the Aged.
She belongs to and actively
supports B'nai David
Sisterhood, Beth Achim
Sisterhood, Jewish Associa-
tion for Retarded Citizens,
