B BYO

Continued from Page 17

(full upon arrival; half empty
two days later) bottles into
their suitcases, the BBYOers
separated into their BBG and
AZA groups and began the
elections.
Some candidates ran unop-
posed; others fought a hard
battle. Some displayed a real
flare for repartee, answering,
for example, such questions
as "I know you're involved in
a lot of things at school. Do
you really think you'll have
enough time for BBG?" with,
"I will always make time for
BBG."

By 12:30 p.m., all the
ballots had been cast and the
winners announced. The new
BBG officers are Lisa
Eidelman, president; Beth
Cousens, vice president;
Alana Voight, membership
vice president; Liz Greenberg,
outstate vice president; Jen-
ny Blitz, treasurer; Marci
Light, secretary; Becca
Broder, reporter; and Karen
Gold, counselor.
New AZA president is Rob
Weiss; Paul Niser is first vice
president; Andrew Grinbaum
is second vice president; Jon
Freed is third vice president;
Jeff Dubin is treasurer; Scott
Zumberg is secretary; Mark
Leuchter is reporter; and Jeff
Dwoskin is counselor.
After the elections and a
lunch of sliced meats, potato
chips and yes, bug juice, the
BBYOers joined in a friend-
ship circle and sang such
favorites as "You've Got a
Friend" and "Cat's in the
Cradle?'
Then they loaded on the
bus, found their seats and
began shaping their sweat-
shirts into makeshift pillows.
It was a much quieter journey
home.
