The Department of
Michigan and Ladies Aux-
iliary will hold their 47th an-
nual state convention June
3-5.
On June 3 at 7:30 p.m. at
the Jewish War Veterans
Memorial Home an Oneg
Shabbat and Sabbath ser-
vices will be held. A total of
20 $500 scholarship awards
will be presented.
Refreshments will be served.
Services will be held at
Cong. Beth Achim at 9 a.m.
June 4.
A banquet will be held at
the Northfield Hilton Hotel
June 4 honoring President
Ruth Weiss and Commander
Milton Klein. There will be
dancing to the Ed Burg
Orchestra.
On June 5 at the Northfield
Hilton Hotel at 8 a.m.
registration will begin. At 9
a.m. memorial services for
deceased members will be
held followed at 9:30 a.m. by
brunch. There will be a
business meeting including
resolutions, credentials,
awards, election of new of-
ficers and installation at 11
a.m.
Convention chairmen are
Jack Schwartz, Jack Berman,
Shirlee Snider and Ruth
