Patlakh, son of Galina and Ig-
or Petlakh of Moscow, USSR.
Igor Patlakh lost his job as
a waiter after applying for an
exit visa in 1979. Since then
he has found sporadic odd
jobs. Permission was denied
on the basis of his father's
employment involving state
secrets alth -ugh the younger
Patlakh has dyed apart from
his father for more than 12
years and resides in a dif-
ferent city. Mrs. Patlakh has
a large family living abroad
and she is the only relative
left in the _ SSR.
David has written to Oleg
and was just informed that
the Patlakhs have received
their visas to emigrate from
the Soviet Union.

Jonathan will twin his bar
mitzvah with Kiril Altman,
son of Leonid and Lilia
Altman of Tashkent in the
Republic of Uzbek. Altman
and his family have been
denied exit visas. He is an
aeronautical engineer. He ap-
plied for an exit visa in March
1977, was refused in August
1977, and is still waiting to
leave the Soviet Union.

B'nai Mitzvah
Two local boys will share
their b'nai mitzvah ceremony
with a Soviet boy at 8:45 a.m.
Saturday at Cong. Shaarey
Zedek.
David Adelstein, son of
Ronald and Fern Adelstein,
and David Serlin, son of
Howard and Nancy Serlin,
will twin their b'nai mitzvah
with Alexei Achildiaev.
The Achildiaev family ap-
plied for exit visas together
with Achildiaev's parents in
September 1978. In
November, the parents receiv-
ed permission to leave, but
Mr. and Mrs. Achildiaev and
their two children were refus-
ed. Soviet officials gave no ex-
planation for the resusal.
Tamara and Asher
Achildiaev arrived in Israel
on April 26, 1979. The
younger Achildiaev and his
family wej refused again.
