Windsor Picks
Dinner Chairman

Alan Orman will be the
chairman of the Jewish Na-
tional Fund's Negev Dinner
to be held June 22 at the
Shaar Hashomayim Syna-
gogue, Windsor, which will
honor his brother-in-law and
partner, Gerald Freed.
A former officer and men's
club chairman of Cong. Beth
El in Windsor, Orman was
also a member of the Sales
and Advertising Club and
Windsor Rotary.
He served four years as
chairman and co-chairman of
the Windsor United Jewish
Appeal campaign. Currently,
he is first vice president of the
Windsor Jewish community
Council and will become
president next month.

themselves. "The fashions are
feminine and beautiful," said
Seltzer, beginning with black
and white knit dressing.
Many of the knit outfits were
striped and accents of hot
pink, red or royal blue.
Dynamite leathers and rich
textured jackets followed. For
a softer look, pastel suits were
shown. The after-five collec-
tion dazzled the crowd with
feminine silk and lace
dresses.
There was a special presen-
tation of autumn fashions by
London designer Alistair
Blair and one-of-a-kind
jewelry by Sharon Meyers.
Blair's fashions included red
wool coats, houndstooth
checked pants and quilted
jackets. Jackets and scarves
were strong accessories.
Blair's evening collection of
lace and satin gowns were
perfect for a grand occasion.
The evening was fascinat-
ing and successful. Most of
the men were happy to at-
tend, although Darryl Rogers
confessed: "If I really had my
choice, I'd be at the hockey
game." ❑
