Fashionmation The men were special guests at Beth El's Spring Happening CARLA JEAN SCHWARTZ Local Columnist F ashion-ation III, a fa- shion show for men and women at Temple Beth El, was indeed fascinat- ing. The recent evening began with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, followed by dinner and a spectacular fashion show from the boutique Madelaine produced by Productions Plus. About 140 people attended the event sponsored by Temple Beth El Sisterhood. Half the audience was male. For many men, including Chrysler executive Jerry Israel, this 82 FRIDAY, MAY 13, 1988 was a first-time experience. "I've never been to a fashion show, and that's why I'm here," said Israel. For other couples it was an evening out. Jerry Gerenraich accompanied his wife Lois, sisterhood president. John Kamins came with his wife Judith. "I heard they were oversold last year, and that the fashion show is terrific," said Kamins. According to chairperson Bobbi Charnas, the idea for an evening fashion show evolved when last year's show sold out. In order to accom- modate all the members, Sisterhood decided to have two shows, with an evening show to include working women and men. This year's daytime fashion show was a sellout again with Accessorized for a fashionable look. Darryl Rogers and Linden Nelson were dressed for the evening.
