Readers Theater
To Entertain

Readers Theater will con-
clude its first year of program-
ming at 4 p.m. Sunday in the
DeRoy Studio Theater of the
Maple/Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center. "Michigan
Writers" is the theme of the
final performance. A pre-
theater wine bar will begin at
3:15 p.m. Tickets are
available at the door.
This program is supported
by an endowment from the Ir-
win and Sadie Cohn Fund
and sponsored by the In-
stitute for Retired Profes-
sionals at the Jewish Corn-
munity Center.
Readers Theater is in the
process of preparing for its
fall series. Dates for the fall
performances are: Sept. 18,
Oct. 16 and Nov. 27.
Works by Bernard
Malamud, Woody Allen,
Sholem Asch, Mordecai
Richler, Sholem Aleichem,
Irena Narell and Isaac
Bashevis Singer are some of
the featured writers.

Music Students
Give Recitals

The music department of
the Jewish Community
Center will present its piano,
violin and cello students in
the annual spring recital in
the Aaron DeRoy Theater at
the Maple/Drake Building.
The piano recital will take
place on May 24 at 7 p.m. and
feature students of Leszek
Bartkiewicz, Tomo Mack and
Kazimerz Brzozowski.
The Suzuki violin and cello
recital will take place May 25
at 7 p.m. and will feature
students of Stephanie Preucil
and Walter Preucil.

Golf Outing
Benefits NFIC

Spring Lake Country Club,
Clarkston, is the setting for
the Second Annual Golf
Benefit for the National
Foundation for Ileitis and
Colitis, scheduled for Sunday.
Tee-off time is 10 a.m.
Golfers will enjoy 18 holes
of golf, use of golf cart,
beverages on the course, and
a "cook your own" steak din-
ner at Club Victor, in nearby
Drayton Plains. Trophies will
be awarded to the top men
and women golfers, and
numerous prizes and
souvenirs will be available.
There is a fee. To register
