DISTINCTIVE RESIDENCES I I DISTINLTIVE RESIDENCES

Susan Winton-Feinberg, who has
done several work out rooms,
asserts, "My customers are relying
on me for the aesthetics. They
already know what they want as
far as machinery."

The interior designers say that
the rooms they have helped out
with all feature TVs and piped-in
music. Besides motivation, many
people find music gives them a
push and helps them keep up the
momentum and rhythm of the
work out. A TV and VCR can pro-
vide those who enjoy an aerobic
dance work out with the oppor-
tunity to work out with a tape.
For those exercisers who are ex-
tremely disciplined and can afford
them, personal trainers help
assure a regular and optimum
work out. Trainers can come to
your house once and set up an ex-
ercise regime for you, once a
week, three times a week, or even
daily. Costs vary, depending upon
the trainer. At The Powerhouse, a
body building and fitness facility in
Farmington and Highland Park,
one of their trainers will come to
your house for $20 an hour. At
One-on-One Health Club in West
Bloomfield, a personal trainer is
$35-$45 an hour. Keith Lewis,
owner of Fitness Elite in Birm-
ingham, will provide you with a
one-time exercise prescription for
$125. On a more regular basis, he
will train you for $55 for a
45-minute session; one of Fitness
Elite's other trainers are $40 for a
45-minute session.
And then you're done. Time to
shower and dress, and get on with
your day. Or, hopefully, you can
soak your taut but weary muscles
in a soothing whirlpool bathtub.
McCoy, Inc. can offer you an even
hotter luxury, in the form of a red
cedar sauna. Available in kit form
for as low as $1500, McCoy's can
also install it for you in your home.
Sally McCoy asserts that these
saunas, like the ones in health
clubs, are good for post-work out
circulation and are great for the
complexion.
Ahh. What a way to sweat.
