$5575 in chrome. Montgomery
notes that part of the variables in
price are based on "how
glamorous you want the machine
to look. All chrome equipment is
more expensive than painted
equipment." While the ap-
pearance of the work out room is
playing an increasing role, Lewis
emphasizes, "In my view, get the
best pieces of equipment you can
afford. You need to have equip-
ment that will prevent you from
stopping exercising."
Besides the work out equip-
ment, the work out atmosphere
plays an instrumental role in
motivating people to exercise. As
Bob Montgomery points out, ex-
ercise rooms "are not dungeons
any more." Lewis recommends
that a work out room "be in a
positive, bright atmosphere."
To help create that positive,
bright environment, some exercise
devotees are turning to decorators.
