This Walled Lake home
designed in a
contemporary
Southwestern motif by
Gloria Colton of
Gorman's is a family
haven with a swimming
pool, lake and solarium

BY CARLA JEAN SCHWARTZ

antasy Island couldn't be
better. This lakefront home
in Wolverine Lake Village
with a Walled Lake mailing
address is an all year round
haven for the owners.
Most rooms in the home face
the spectacular view. Not only do
the owners enjoy the view, but they
swim in the summer and ice skate
in the winter. In addition to the
fresh water lake, there is a built-in
swimming pool.
Interior designer Gloria Colton
of Gorman's designed this home
for an active executive couple and
their two children. Colton explains
that the focal point of the home is
the gorgeous view. "And the view
was not to be destroyed by the fur-
niture," says Colton.
"The home is a California look
relaxed and comfortable with
overstuffed furniture," adds Colton.
Colton purposely chose durable,
practical materials because the
family entertains frequently and
uses the beach and pool often.
