"Israeli architecture exists in my
collection, because it is a part of
world architecture," explains
Holtzman. He is proud of the
Israeli architects and mentions
Moshe Safdie, who designed the
Habitat in Montreal. Holtzman has
the original brochure for the
Mamilla project by Moshe Safdie
in front of the wall by the Jaffa gate
in Jerusalem.
Holtzman has catalogued and
printed a brochure of titles of Israel
literature since the birth of the
country. He has sent copies to
Israel and to libraries in the United
States.
Holtzman also collects books in
Hebrew, Arabic and Russian.
"The fact that I cannot read it does
not make it strange. The books talk
to me," he says. He mentions that
