Detroit Zionist Federation's
Jerusalem Day Celebration,
7:30 p.m. Thursday at the
United Hebrew Schools, will
have an opportunity to sign
a giant congratulatory tele-
gram to the people of that
city.
During the program, featur-
ing a concert by top Israeli
singer Sandra Johnson-Ben
Dor, participants in Israel
programs during 1987 and
1988 as well as new olim will
be honored. At the celebra-
tion, one of the young people
who will visit Israel this sum-
mer will be selected to per-
sonally deliver the telegram
from Detroit area Jews to
Jerusalem Mayor Teddy
Kolleck.
Tickets for the program are
available at a nominal charge
by calling the DZF office,
353-8828. The program is co-
sponsored by the Israel
Aliyah Program Center and
the Jewish Commmunity
Council.
