ROUND UP I Players choose up sides for a recent softball game at an annual picnic of the Association of Americans and Canadians in Israel. Correction The recent article profiling the 1988 Michigan Jewish Sports Hall of Fame inductees should have mentioned that Leonard Brose's mother, Jean, lives with his father in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Goldstein In National Meet Linda Goldstein made a respectable showing in the re- cent Girl's Junim National Short Course swim meet in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Goldstein, who just turned 14, competed against swimmers aged 18- and-under. Her best in- dividual finish was in the 200 individual medley, where she placed 44th at 2: 0.62. There were approximately 120 swimmers in each event. Goldstein was 51st in the 400 IM at 4:38.29. Shy also swam in the 100 freestyle (52.95) and 200 freestyle (1:56.07). Goldstein's team placed 15th in the 400 freestyle relay and 19th in the 800 freestyle relay. Goldstein, who will attend West Bloomfield High School this fall, now begins training for the summer long-course season. She will face a dif- ficult decision in August, because the long-course Junior Nationals take place the same week as the North American Maccabi Games.
