'Peace Fleece'
Prize Awarded
Mary Diskin, WAND's
Peace Award winner for 1988,
will be presented with a
woolen scarf made from
"Peace Fleece." The wool was
obtained from Soviet
American Woolens, a trade
company begun by Peter
Hagerty, a farmer in Maine
who wants to help build a
peaceful relationship with the
Soviet Union through trade.
Shirley Zieve of Southfield,
with the assistance of her
daughter, Claire Bronson,
WAND education chairman,
created the scarf.
