richest counties, but a serious
hunger problem exists in
Oakland County . . . In 1987,
Lighthouse, a last-chance
relief agency for many
citizens who do not qualify for
other types of assistance (no
one is turned away by
Lighthouse), supplied food to
16,876 persons and Noreen
Keating, Lighthouse ex-
ecutive director, says, "We
still know there are many
people who go to bed hungry
every night."

Lighthouse Walk for Hunger
. . . with participants being
asked to decorate their
favorite walking shoes and
awards will be given for the
most beautiful, the ugliest
and most creative at seventh
annual Six-Mile Walk For
Hunger, May 7 . . . It begins
