Adat Shalom Synagogue
will present the cantorial and
Yiddish music of three can-
tors at 8 p.m. May 17.
The cantors concert is spon-
sored by the Kopel and
Estelle Kahn Fund.
The evening will feature
Cantor Larry Vieder of Adat
Shalom, Cantor David Bagley
of Beth Shalom Synagogue in
Toronto, and Cantor Jacob
Mendelson of Temple Israel
Center in White Plains, N.Y.

Cantor Vieder came to Adat
Shalom as associate cantor in
1960 and has been synagogue
cantor since 1974. He was
born in Czechzlovakia and
has sung with renowned
European cantors. A member
of the Cantors Assembly, he
has served for the last three
years on the Assembly ex-
ecutive board.

Assembly, is noted for his
tenor voice and his inter-
pretation of the liturgy.
Cantor Mendelson, a
dramatic tenor and a member
of the Cantors Assembly, has
been a featured soloist in
many recitals.
