be installed as president of
Michigan Branch of Women's
League for Conservative
Judaism, at the banquet of
the annual Spring Con-
ference to be held at Cong.
Beth Achim on May 1 and 2.
Nussbaum is a past presi-
dent of the sisterhood Adat
Shalom; honorary trustee,
board of directors, Adat
Shalom Synagogue; Michi-
gan Branch program chair-
man, spring conference chair-
man 1986 and 1987; and
presently Branch cooperation
vice president.
She is a past president of
Louis Stone Chapter B'nai
B'rith Women and currently
vice president of the Metro
Detroit League of Jewish
Women's Organizations, in

FOR WOMEN

The National Council of
Jewish Women, Greater
Detroit Section, will pay
tribute to its 3,000 members
during NCJW Week, begin-
ning Sunday. The week will
highlight the 40th anniver-
sary of the State of Israel and
the 20th anniversary of the
NCJW Research Institute for
Innovation in Education at
the Hebrew University of
Jerusalem.
The dessert tea and musical
program is set for Thursday
at 1 p.m. at Temple Beth El.
The event will thank all
NCJW volunteers for their
service throughout the year.
Special honorees are Lois
Granader, who will receive
the NCJW Biennial Award
for Emerging Section
Leaders, and Judy Marx, who
will be given the Section's

Volunteer
Professional
Award.
The section has planned an
open board meetiing and
lunch beginning at 9:30 a.m.
on Tuesday at the NCJW of-
fices in Southfield.
On Wednesday, SPACE will
host a dinner honoring
SPACE facilitators and the
10th anniversary of the ser-
vice for single parents and
their families.
Following the Thursday
afternoon tea, the community
is invited to attend the fourth
annual Dor L' Dor Concert at
7:30 p.m.
April 29 and 30 have been
recognized by local temples
and synagogues as NCJW
Sabbath. This year's NCJW
Week committee is chaired by
Barbara Kuhlik and Janelle
Miller.
