New Parents Series Target Adat Shalom will present a three-part discussion series for expectant parents or parents of newborns at 7:30 p.m. May 5, 12 and 19. Participants will explore issues including Jewish birth ceremonies, creating and nur- turing a Jewish home en- vironment, the roles of parents and grandparents and the super parent syndrome. Discussion leaders for the series will be Rabbis Efry Spectre and Elliot Pachter of Adat Shalom Synagogue; Dr. Jeffrey Devries, pediatrician; and Dr. Gail Berkove, a licens- ed psychologist and specialist in family therapy and parenting. B'nai Moshe will in- augurate a new monthly Talmud study group for pro- fessionals. The first session will be held in his home 7:30 p.m. Sunday. At 10 a.m. Sunday "Torah for rIbts," the monthly celebra- tion of Jewish life for preschool children and their parents, will be conducted by Rabbi and Mrs. Meyerowitz.
