Adat Shalom Synagogue
Hosts Israeli Musical Revue

Adat Shalom Synagogue
will present "Life Begins at
40," a musical revue created
for Israel's 40th anniversary,
at 8 p.m. May 4.
The program, which will be
presented for the Jack
Rosenbloom Memorial Con-
cert, was written and staged
by Dan Almagor, one of
Israel's leading playwrights,
satirists and television
personalities.
Five Israeli singers and
entertainers — Sarai Tzuriel,
Sassi Keshet, Elki Jacobs, Gil
Alon and Almagor himself —
will perform in "Life Begins
at 40." The show includes
songs, satirical sketches and
monologues that reflect the
spirit, humor and music of
Israel. The show has been
designed to enable audiences
to better understand the
various moods of Israeli life
during the past 40 years.
Almagor's performance
here with "Life Begins at 40"
marks his second visit to the
Detroit area. He also ap-
peared two years ago in Shar-

Sassi Keshet, Gil Alon, Elki Jacobs, Sarai Tzuriel, Dan Almagor: Life

ti Lach Artzi (I Sing to You,
My Land).
The multimedia event is
sponsored by the synagogue's
adult study commission.

Tickets are available to the
general community after Fri-
day. There is no charge.

synagogue office, 851-5100.
