B'not Mitzvah
Beth Ancell, daughter of
Judith and Robert Ancell,
and Danielle Elbaz, daughter
of Carol and Max Elbaz, will
twin the observance of their
b'not mitzvah celebration at
Adat Shalom Synagogue at 9
a.m. Saturday with Lina
Zaslaysky, daughter of Pavel
Zaslaysky of Moscow, USSR.
Pavel first applied for a visa
to Israel for himself and his
family in 1978, but has been
repeatedly denied permission.
He was widowed in February
1982 when his wife, Irina,
died in childbirth. The child
also died. Pavel is a champion
ping-pong player and in the
top 200 in Moscow.
Beth and Danielle have
written to Lina and will at-
tempt to reach the Zaslayskys
by phone.

nouncement for Alissa
Brown appearing in the
April 1 edition of The
Jewish News should have
said that she also is the
granddaughter of Esther
Brown of Israel.
