Neighborhood Project Has
Family Day, Judaica Fair

The Neighborhood Project
Family Fun Day will take
place 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the
United Hebrew Schools
building.
The event is a joint effort of
The Neighborhood Project
and the Southfield Residents
Group. It is co-sponsored by:
Michigan Region United
Synagogues of America, Na-
tional Conference of
Synagogue Youth, Adat
Shalom Synagogue, Cong.
Beth Abraham Hillel Moses,
Beth Achim, Beth Shalom,
B'nai David, B'nai Moshe,
Shaarey Zedek and Temple
Emanu-El.
Participants include Fresh
Air Society, J.E.F.F. (Jewish
Experiences For Families),
Jewish Community Center
and UHS.
Euni Tracey will sing the
songs of Walt Disney films,
Jeff Hobson will provide a
magic show, Frankie Paul
will play the accordion, and
an Israel dance troupe will
perform under the direction of
Sonny Lipenholtz.

On April 24, the Neighbor-
hood Project's Oak Park
Residents Group will sponsor
a kosher food and Judaica
crafts at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Building of the Jewish
Community Center in Oak
Park.
Festivities begin at 1:30
p.m. with entertainment,
refreshments, pony rides and
an exhibition of Judaic crafts
and art. Many of the crafts
will be available for purchase.
A variety of food samples,
including bagel dogs, chicken
nuggets, gefilte fish, baked
goods, hors d'oeuvres, egg
rolls, dried fruit and products
canned by local markets will
be provided by local mer-
chants, caterers and food
distributors.
All food products will be
under rabbinical supervision.
Janis Roszler and Avigayil
Sawilowsky are chairmen of
the kosher food fair commit-
tee. Mark E. Schlussel is
chairman of the Neighbor-
hood Project.
