B'nei Akiva
Director Here

Nitsana Bellehsen, na-
tional educational director of
B'nei Akiva, will join the
local chapter this week for a
special series of lectures and
events. On April 22, Ms.
Bellehsen will speak at the
Yeshivat Akiva Yom HaAtz-
maut program on "The Im-
portance of Israel to Us, To-
day?' She will also guide the
students in several indepen-
dent activities to better
understand Israel's history.
During her stay in Detroit,
Ms. Bellehsen will also direct
a leadership training seminar
April 22-24 at Young Israel of
Southfield for the counselors
of the B'nei Akiva/Young
Israel Youth Groups. Mem-
bers interested in learning
more about being a youth
leader should contact the
B'nei Akiva office, 967-3742,
for reservations to the
seminar.
Members of the B'nei
Akiva/Young Israel of
Southfield Sunday Fun
Groups, youth in grades one-
five, are invited to join B'nei
Akiva for a bowling event on
Sunday. The group will meet
at the Young Israel of South-
field at 2:30 p.m. to go to
Hartfield Lanes. There will
be mini-tournaments for the
older bowlers, and bumper
bowling will be offered to the
younger group. Reservations
are requried.

Hashachar
Mans Event

Hashachar Young Judea,
the youth organization of
Hadassah, will have its an-
nual spring conclave at the
Cleveland Jewish Communi-
ty Center on April 29-May 1.
The convention will include
kids from Ohio, West Vir-
ginia, Kentucky and Michi-
gan. Transportation will be
provided. For information,
contact the regional Young
Judea office, 1-973-0038. All
third-12th graders are
welcome.
