Festival Seeks Volunteers Jewish Festival '88 is seek- ing volunteers to help in a variety of functions at the day-long event scheduled for May 1 at the Maple/Drake Jewish Community Center. Teens and adults are need- ed to assist with food booths, entertainment, children's ac- tivities and maintenance, as well as to guide guests to the various activities. Volunteers are requested to serve a minimum of one two- hour shift. The day begins at 10 a.m. and is expected to end at about 8 p.m. Children's activities will take place between 1 and 6 p.m. Duties of volunteers in- clude assisting with games, crafts and relays, and direc- ting children from one loca- tion to another. And They Came to the Land," a cantata co-directed by Jackie Rogers and Vivian Stollman, will be performed by a mixed choir at 9 p.m. April 23 during the Israel In- dependence Day celebration at Cong. B'nai Moshe. Sponsored by the B'nai Moshe Cultural Commission, the event will begin with a brief Havdalah service. It will include Israeli singing and dancing and sampling of Israeli foods. Tickets Limited For Inbal T'roupe Tickets for the Inbal Dance Theatre, Israel's national folk dance company, are still available. The Inbal Dance Theater deals with subjects and elements from the Jewish tradition and heritage, and the folklore of the different ethnic groups in Israel — Jewish and non-Jewish alike.
