She leaves a son, Martin; a daughter, Mrs. Ed- ward (Roberta) Krajca; and four grandchildren. THEODORE (TED) THOMAS, 76, former West Bloomfield resident of Coconut Creek, Fla., died April 1. Survived by his wife, Ida; two daughters, Jac- queline Parker and Sharron Simmer, both of Florida; a brother, Harry of Laguna Hills, Calif.; a sister, Rose Rubin of Oak Park; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Interment Florida. faculty of Wayne State University School of Medicine since 1937. He served in the U.S. Army as a major. He was former chief of gastroenterology at Mt. Carmel Mercy Hospital and was its full-time director of medical education from 1964 to 1966 and was former chief of gastroenterology at Sinai Hospital. At Harper Hospital he was attending emeritus, at Sinai Hospital, emeritus, Mt. Carmel Mercy Hospital, emeritus, Oakwood Hospital, emeritus and Hutzel Hospital, honorary. He was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha medical socie- ty, American Medical Association, Michigan State and Wayne County Medical Societies, a fellow of the American College of Physi- cians, a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, a member and past president of the Detroit Gastroenterological Society and the Internal Society of Internal Medicine. He leaves his wife, Rose; a son, Neil J. of Aim Arbor; a daughter, Diane Juliar Quinn of Cambridge, Mass.; three brothers, Dr. Joseph Juliar of Las Vegas, Nev., Harold Schwartz of Israel and David Schwartz; three sisters, Mrs. Albert (Jean) Katz, Mrs. Ger- trude Bean and Mrs. Dora Smorodin of Maplewood, N.J.; and one granddaughter. Harvey Deutch DOROTHY WILHELM, 69, died April 10. She leaves a son, Elliot; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Barbara) Sneider; and two grandchildren. Dr. B. Juliar Dr. Benjamin Juliar, an in- ternist and gastroenterolo- gist, died April 9 at age 79. Born in Russia, Dr. Juliar was involved with the medical evaluation activities at Fisher Medical Centers since 1979. since 1983 he was medical adviser to administrative law judges, Office of Hearings and ap- peals, Social Security Administration. He was graduated from the University of Michigan and the Wayne State University School of Medicine. He intern- ed at Detroit Receiving Hospital and was on the Harvey Deutch Harvey Deutch, who died April 10 at age 39, is especial- ly remembered for his opera- tion of Paul's Cut Rate Drugs on Broadway in downtown Detroit.
