Lesley Beznos
Twins Ceremony

Lesley Beznos, daughter of
Barbara and Harold Beznos,
will twin the observance of
her bat mitzvah celebration
at Mat Shalom Synagogue at
9 a.m. Saturday with Julia
Ibragimov, daughter of
Rakhilya and Yakov
Ibragimov of Tahkent, USSR.
When Haim Ibragimov left
the Soviet Union for Israel in
1972, he never imagined that
14 years later he would re-
main separated from his two
sons in Tashkent. His sons,
Aron and Yakov applied for
visas in 1979 and 1980, but
were refused without any ex-

their employment when they
applied for visas and are now
working odd jobs.
Their financial situation is
getting desperate. Haim

Ibragimov is elderly, retired
and in ill health and wishes
to see his children again. He
has appealed to President
Reagan for help.
