conference May 1 and 2 at
Cong. Beth Achim.
Conference Chairman,

mittee have developed educa-
tional workshops and pro-
grams based on the theme
"What Price Ethics?" Sandra
Fink is president of the host
sisterhood. Marjorie Saulson
is branch president.
Rosenfeld has served as
president of her sisterhood at
Temple Israel Center in
White Plains, N.Y., as well as
president of the Westchester-
Rockland Branch of WLCJ. In
1987 she received the Na-
tional Community Leader-
ship Award from the Jewish
Theological Seminary and
was honored by the West-
chester-Rockland Branch of
WLCJ at its annual Ibrah
Fund Guardian Luncheon.
Her other involvements in
Jewish organizational work
have been as chairman of
Women's Division UJA-
Federation, White Plains, and
she currently serves on the
board of trustees of Temple
Israel Center and actively
supports Hadassah and
Women's American ORT.
Other highlights of the
gathering will be the instala-
tion of officers, Shachrit mor-
ning service led by Shaarey
Zedek Sisterhood, a Torah
study session with Rabbi
Milton Arm of Beth Achim,
- special anniversary celebra-
tions and the Sunday lun-
cheon honoring new
volunteers.

Special Kids
Study Music
The Maple/Drake Jewish
Commuinity Center will pre-
sent "Music — Special Music
for Special People," a creative
music experience for learning
disabled children on Mondays
at 5:30 p.m. starting April 11.
The instrucctor, Lisa
Barnett, is a registered and
board certified music
therapist and will give
specialized instruction on
piano, guitar, autoharp,
recorder and voice to promote
increased self-esteem • and
self-awareness.
Admittance to class is by in-
terview with the instructor.
There is a fee, and the class is
open to the public.
Reading Class
Is Offered
The Improved Reading
Centers of Michigan, Inc, will
offer a course at the
Maple/Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center for students,
business and professional peo-
ple who want to improve their
reading productivity. This
four-week course begins
Thursday.
There is a fee, and the
course is open to the public.
'Music Journey'
At The Center
A "Sound of Music
Journey" will come to the
Maple/Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center on Tuesday.
Mark Kligman will present a
listener's guide to understan-
ding and discussing the music
of Vivaldi, the great Russian
and Romantic composers,
20th Century music and
Jewish music. The class runs
through May 17.
There is a fee, and the class
is open to the public.
