Slated By Lodge

Oakland Century Lodge
will hold its annual "Spirit of
B'nai B'rith" and scholarship
awards dinner April 26 at
6:30 p.m. at Adat Shalom
Synagogue.
The program will honor
Sam Braverman, past presi-
dent, "for his continued ef-
forts and outstanding dedica-
tion to Oakland Century
Lodge." During the evening,
two second-year college
students, having met a
number of academic and
Jewish community re-
quirements will be presented
with $500 scholarship grants
on behalf the members of
Oakland Century.
Guest speaker will be
Shirlee Iden, historian, world
traveler, and suburban life
editor of the Southfield Eccen-
tric newspaper. Guests are
welcome, and there is a
charge for the dinner. For in-

research center has recently
been established at the Weiz-
mann Institute of Science, the
Fritz Haber Center for
Physical Chemistry. It com-
memorates Professor Fritz
Haber, the nobel laureate for
chemistry in 1918 for his
discovery of the process to
convert nitrogen in the air in-
to ammonia — an essential
ingredient for the production
of artificial fertilizers, nitric
acid, and explosives.
