Concert Sunday

The Julius Chajes Music
Fund Concert Series will pre-
sent the final concert of the
1987-1988 season on Sunday
at 3:30 p.m. at the
Maple/Drake Jewish Com-
munity Center.

will be Marcy Chanteaux,
cello; Geoffrey Applegate,
violin; and Leszek Bar-
tkiewicz, piano, in a program
of Beethoven, Bach and
Chajes.

Wins Honor

Gary A. Faber, principal of
West Bloomfield High School,
has been named one of ten na
tional "Principals of Leader-
ship" by the National School
Safety Center, and the na-
tional associations of elemen-
tary school principals and
secondary school principals.
Faber is the only principal
in Michigan to be cited.
When he became principal
in 1982, Faber initiated a
special suspension class and
demerit system as well as in-
centives to make students
responsible for their own
behavior. He also turned
down an administrative posi-
tion last year in order to stay
on as principal.
