t could be a dog stealing
the scene walking down
the runway or whatever
. . . but there's always
something out of the ordinary
at a Leah Marks Fashion
Show.
This time, the one for
Women of Maimonides
Medical Society had her
models getting in trim while
going through paces along
the huge Adat Shalom run-
way. . . . The gals loved every
minute of the jogging and ex-
ercising as they displayed
wares of Studio, Studio
Dancewear and Tout's Tennis
Shop . . . the latter while
wielding extra large racquets
I can sure use to swat some of
those elusive balls.
Over 500 gals had a typical-
ly fine luncheon prepared by
Sarah, Jeff and Al Rosenberg
. . . after milling around the
many boutiques since 10 a.m.
Marci (Rose) Schulman was
never better as she sang Star
Spangled Banner and
Hatikvah in her beautiful
operatic voice.
The show was very well pac-
ed with a fine musical
background beat that set an
excellent tempo.
Each store and service was
recognized in slides . . . and
then kaleidescope patterns on
the backdrop as models in
leotards wearing elegant
John Darakjian jewelry on
hands and around necks .. .
plus impressively having wat-
ches strapped around their
belts.
Then flashing colored lights
. . . and the Maimonides
lassies "making their picks"
as four handsome male
models came out in shorts
from David R mens store and
resuming their selections
when the guys returned wear-
ing sharply-styled suits and
sportjackets.
The dresses of Cocktails
must have made the models
feel like queens . . . so elegant
and stylish.
Smoke came from top and
bottom . . . highly impressive
as the models walked.
Those very good valet
gentlemen outside Adat
Shalom averted a "traffic
jam" as they got the cars in a
hurry . . . and many of the
Maimonides women no doubt
were asking, "Wonder what
Leah Marks will think of
next?"
OKAY, it's time for grand-
parents to get into the act .. .
And so, for the first time, Oak
