Strengthened
Tel Aviv (JTA) — Security
protection for Foreign
Minister Shimon Peres has
been beefed up because of
reportedly "clear signs that
right-wing extremists will at-
tempt to attack the head of
the Labor Party," it was
reported.
Peres may be in danger of
physical assault because of
his political stance in favor of
an international peace con-
ference and territorial com-
promise, which is in direct
contradiction of the position
taken by Premier Yitzhak
Shamir and his Likud bloc.
