'Emerging From Grief'
Is Rabbi's Seminar
"Emerging from Grief:
Children and Loss," a day-
long seminar offered by Cran-
brook Hospice Care, featuring
a special presentation by Rab-
bi Earl Grollman, will be held
April 16 at 8:30 a.m. at St.
Joseph Mercy Hospital-
Pontiac.
Rabbi of Beth El Temple
Center in Belmont, Mass.,
Grollman is a pioneer in the
field of pastoral counseling
and crisis intervention. He is
the author of Talking About
Death.
The afternoon workshops
will deal with such topics as:
facilitating grief through
creative arts; adolescents and
grief; and conceptions of
death between the ages of
three and 12.
Cost of the seminar in-
cludes continental breakfast,
lunch and refreshments. Ad-
vance registration is re-

Cancer Support
Meeting Planned
A Focus on Living (with
cancer) meeting will be held
on Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the
Southfield Civic Center. The
purpose of this self-help group
is to bring together patients
and family members who
have questions or are ex-
periencing problems as a
result of living with cancer.
