Temple Women Focus
On Summer Fashion

The sisterhood of Temple
Beth El will hold its sixth an-
nual "Spring Happening" on
April 25 at the temple.
Highlighting this years' pro-
gram will be a showing of
spring and summer fashions
featuring designs by Alistair
Blair.
The day will . begin at 10
a.m. with boutique shopping.
Luncheon will be served at
noon. There is a fee.
Chairman Bobbi Charnas
announced the addition of an
evening program. Wine and
hors d'oeurves will be served
at 6:30 p.m. dinner at 7:30

p.m. There is a fee.

Paid reservations must be
received by April 13. Proceeds
will help fund a chairlift for
the handicapped to make
temple wheelchair accessible.

Chagall Topic For Women

Esther Tarnoff Cooper of

the speakers bureau, Detroit
Institute of Arts, will speak
on "Marc Chagall and The
Jewish School of Paris"
following the Temple Israel
Sisterhood election meeting
and noon luncheon at the
temple on April 11.
Mrs. Cooper has been in-
volved in art, as an artist and
educator for the past 15 years.
She has taught courses in
Jewish art at Oakland Com-
munity College of Jewish
Studies. She speaks for the
DIA on modern and Jewish
Art, and brings art into the
classrooms of Wayne County
and Oakland County schools.
She is a professional commer-
cial artist.
