Wayne State University and ANNUAL MEETING OF THE JEWISH WELFARE FEDERATION WOMEN'S DIVISION OF DETROIT CONSIDERATION OF AMENDMENTS TO THE BY-LAWS OF WOMEN'S DIVISION Pursuant to the By-laws of the JEWISH WELFARE FEDERATION of DETROIT the text of amendments to said By-laws are herewith published. The membership of the Federation Women's Division will meet Wednesday, May 11, 1988 at 11:30 a.m. at the Annual Meeting, held at Adat Shalom Synagogue, 29901 Middlebelt Road, Farmington Hills, Michigan to vote on adoption. ARTICLE IV By changing Sec. la to read as follows: "The business of this Women's Division shall be carded on by a Board of Directors, consisting of fifty-four (54) elected directors, and all other women serving on the Board of Governors of the Jewish Welfare Fed- eration of Detroit, the Board of the Women's Division of the United Jewish Appeal, the Women's Division of the Council of Jewish Federations and all former presidents of the Women's Division. The President of Women's Division, at her discretion and with the approval of the Executive Committee, may appoint to the Board of Directors, for a one year term, one or more women serving in chairmanship positions. The Women's Division may also elect special honorary directors. Of the regularly elected directors, eighteen (18) shall be elected annually for a term of three (3) years each. No director shall serve more than two (2) consecutive terms unless she is either in o or Associate Campaign Chairman in the last year of her second term; in which case she may be elected for an additional term. In addition, the Chairman of the Women's Division Allied Jewish Campaign shall serve a Board term of three (3) years following the com- pletion of her tenure as Campaign Chairman." Purpose: To make possible the inclusion on the Board of Directors women serving in chairmanship positions. By changing Sec. 4 to read as follows: "The officers shall be a President, five (5) Vice-Presidents one of whom shall be the Campaign Chairman and one whose sole portfolio shall be the Business and Professional Women's Division, a Recording Secretary, a Corresponding Secretary, and two (2) designates to the Federation's Board of Governors. They shall be elected from the members of the Board fora term of one year. No person shall hold the same office for more than three (3) consecutive terms." Purpose: To add a fifth (5th) vice-president whose sole responsibility is the Business and Professional Women's Division.
