Program director Carol Parven Mary and Cynthea Mazer share a moment after the Purim party. My husband and I and two of our granddaughters just spent a delightful weekend at "Bubbie, Zadie, and Kinder Camp" at the Butzel Conference Center at Camp Tamarack. This was a new program sponsored by the Fresh Air Society and what a wonderful program it was. I don't know if the Jewish community in general is aware of the gem they have in the Butzel Center. It is located at Ortonville and sits on a beautiful lake. The accommodations are ex- cellent for the lodges are modern and beautifully kept up. The food is kosher and very, very good. The staff, headed by Jeff Metz and Carol Parven, were very effi- cient and so wonderful to the bubbies, the zadies and the kin- der. Over the weekend we danced, we sang, we ate and we had a fabulous time. Along with the fun, the warm blanket of Judaism enveloped us. There was a blessing at every meal, we had a lovely Saturday morning service and a beautiful Havdalah service with our grand- children. It was a wonderful ex- perience for all who were there and I hope the Fresh Air Society will continue sponsoring it for many years to come. Ada Efros, age 64, is a grandmother in Oak Park.
