Symphony
Concert Today

The senior adult depart-
ment of the Jewish Com-
munity Center will take 44
seniors to the Detroit Sym-
phony Orchestra Coffee Con-
cert today courtesy of the
Boaz Siegel Endowment
Fund and the Michigan
Council for the Arts.
The Writers' Corner, under
the direction of Prof. Norma
Goldman, will meet at 9:30
a.m. today in Room 4 of the
Jimmy Prentis Morris
Building.
Archie Leslie will show-the
movie, Easter Parade at 2 p.m.
Sunday in the assembly hall
of the JPM.
Nurse Leila Raden will con-
duct a round-table discussion
for mature adults at 1:30 p.m.
Monday in Room 2 of the
JPM.
Irving Herman, Comerica
Bank's vice president in
charge of trust marketing,
will speak on estate planning
at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the
assembly hall of the JPM.
-The second part of the movie,
Strike Up The Band, will be
shown directly following the
lecture.
The Book Fair video, Holy
Days with Liz Harris, will be
shown in the JPM lobby at 10
a.m. Thursday.
The Yidish Culture Club
will sponsor a program in
memory of Mr. Charles
Friker, its founding president
at 12:30 p.m. Thursday in
Jaffe Hall. Cantor Max
Shimansky and Lillian
Zellman will perform several
of his favorite melodies.
Members of his family as well
as several of his friends will
speak. There will be a social
hour in the atrium.

Fashion Talk
For Seniors

The senior adult depart-
ment at the Maple/Drake
Building of the Jewish Com-
munity Center will feature
Gloria Check, fashion consul-
tant, author, instructor and
television personality to
discuss "Dressing Up: Look-
ing Your Best With Minimal
Expense" at 1 p.m. Monday in
room 239 of the Center. Bring
problem accessories for ad-
vice. There is a nominal
charge.

The Jewish Community
Center is looking for par-
ticipants in' a new transporta-
tion program that brings the
isolated elderly to the Jewish

Community Center's Jimmy
Prentis Morris Building in
Oak Park.
Coordinated by the Jewish
Community Center, in
cooperation with the Jewish
Information Service, the
"Door-to-Door" program
serves 50 people each week,
making runs to Detroit,
Southfield and Oak Park
twice a week.
United Hebrew Schools'
buses pick participants up at
10:30 a.m. and return them at
3 p.m.
For information on how to
get involved in this program,
call the Jewish Information
Service, 967-HELP (4357).

Music Study
Hosts Seniors

The Music Study Club of
Metropolitan Detroit has in-
vited 44 senior citizens to
hear Cantor Harold Orbach
at its general membership
meeting Tuesday at Birm-
ingham Temple.
The trip is provided by the
Sally Allan Alexander Music
Fund for Senior Citizens,
which will be used to secure
bus transportation for the
senior guests from the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Building of
the Jewish Community
Center.

Camp Accepts
Reservations

The Oak Park Vacation
Camp is taking enrollment
for children, ages 8-12. The
camp will operate from
April 4 to 8, from 9 a.m. to
4 p.m.
Some of the activities
planned are: horseback
riding, roller skating, ice
skating, bowling, canoeing,
indoor swimming, a trip to
the video arcade and more.
All activity costs are includ-
ed. Campers need to bring
lunch. Call Sol Cohen,
545-6400, for information.
Enrollment is limited.

ZOA To Hear
Rabbi Fuchs

Rabbi Stephen Fuchs,
senior rabbi of Cong. Ohabai
Sholom, Nashville, Thnn., will
address the Einstein Lun-
cheon Forum noon Tuesday at
TK's Restaurant.
A graduate of the Hebrew
Union College-Jewish In-
stitute of Religion, Rabbi
Fuchs has written and lec-
tured on Christian-Jewish
relations.
He will give an update on
the situation in Israel.
