tipasto (salads), two soups,
fresh homemade pasta al
dente or topped off with a
variety of sauces, eight pasta
specialties, five veal dishes
and two chicken favorites,
four beef delights, four fishes
and Italian desserts almost
everybody loves.
A private room off to the
side has a bit of memorabilia
. . . In the garage at Bonnie
and Norm's home, a table
dusted away since 1975 . . . It
has been shined up with a
high gloss . . . and the
original Squire's Table (that
was the name before Norm
changed it to Nifty Norman's)
is back in action.
City of Southfield officials
were guests at a closed dinner
day before opening . . . and
left with almost a mass con-
sensus . . . That Bonnie,
Norm and Randy have
another winner.

Recent monthly meeting of
Variety Club at Mark Ridley's
Comedy Castle was its usual
pleasureable afternoon .
First time I've seen the
downstairs during daytime
since it was a catering spot for
banquets at the old Nor-
thwood Inn, now home of
Mark's fine food, drink and
fun spot.
Soupy Sales, appearing at
the Comedy Castle that week,
was on stage for Variety Club,
telling of his memoirs about
Detroit in the '50s . . . It was
better than his jokes.
MUSICAL COMEDY fans
are "Singing In The Rain"
without getting wet as film
stars Debbie Reynolds and
Donald O'Conner recreate
their very fine MGM song
and dance numbers at the
new Omni Star Theatre
through this Sunday . . . Cur-
rent tour for this
multitalented duo brings
them back together again at
corner of Plymouth Road and
Farmington Road for the first
time since their legendary
film Singing In The Rain.
LOVING CUP
with
songstress Marlene Hill and
hubby Danny Jordan are at
Tango's at Radisson Plaza on
Northwestern Highway, Tues-
day to Saturday 9 p.m. til
1 a.m. through April 23.
Joyce Eisenbraun of
Hetland, Ltd. in Fargo, N.D.,
ad agency for Radisson Plaza,
was in town last week .. .
Walking by Tango's, she
heard Marlene singing
"Memories" . . . If Joyce
didn't know different, she'd
have thought Barbara Strei-
sand was doing a gig for
General Manager Bill
Kirkhuff.
