registered for Sefer Safari,
the city-wide family reading
program sponsored by local
Jewish libraries and Jewish
Experiences for Families, will
be treated to a performance
by Beth Katz of the Red Rug
Puppet Theatre on March 20
in Jaffe Hall at the Jimmy
Prentis Morris Building of
the Jewish Community
Center at 2 p.m.
"Loving Your Jewish
Library" will be the theme,
and refreshments will be
provided.
In addition there is a "Win
a Sefer Safari Critter" contest
being held in all Sefer Safari
libraries. In order to par-
ticipate, families must visit
their library and hunt for the
treasure on a map. For

Chajes Fund
Concert Slated

The Julius Chajes Music
Fund Concert Series will pre-
sent a Broadway cabaret con-
cert at 8:30 p.m. March 19 at
the Jewish Community
Center in West Bloomfield.
The artists will be Maria
Cimarelli, soprano; Laurie
Meeker, mezo soprano;
Michael Pavelich, tenor; and
Mark Vondrak, baritone;
with David Wilson at the
piano.
Featured on the program
will be the music of Herbert,
Romberg, Friml, Kern, Porter,
Gershwin, Berlin, Sondheim
and other contemporary
Broadway composers.
Refreshments will be serv-
ed. There is a charge, and it
is open to the public. For
