Purim Greetings IF Brucha Terebelo and Svia Finkelman lend a hand. rom elaborate wicker baskets with fancy fruits, chocolates and wine to paper plates decorated with the creative scrawling of children, ap- proximately 600 packages of shalach manot were contributed Sunday to The Great Purim Parcel Project and distributed throughout the community. Sponsored by The Jewish News and Jewish Experiences For Families, the shalach manot pro- ject utilized volunteers from B'nai B'rith Youth Organization's Akiba, Brandies, Chagall, Chalut- zim, King, L'Chayim, Mendoza, Maccabee and Posen AZA chapters to hand-deliver parcels to new Detroit area residents. Addi- tional parcels were hand-delivered by the National Council of Jewish Women to kosher Meals on Wheels recipients while Jewish Associa- tion For Retarded Citizens volunteers distributed parcels to the organization's group homes. Remaining parcels were brought to the Jewish Homes For The Aged. Also assisting in the project were volunteers from The Jewish News, Fresh Air Society and the Jewish Community Center. ❑
