Three workshops will be of-
fered on Feb. 27. at Birm-
ingham Temple as part of its
Singles Weekend. The theme
of the workshops will be
"Relationships — Sharing
Our Lives With Others?'
Emmaline Weidman, who
received her Ph.D. degree at
the Union Graduate School
and has a private practice in
Rochester, will lead a
workshop entitled "The Spirit
of Commitment."
Rose and Art Heman will
introduce in their workshop
communication pricinples
and skills to help workshop
attendees relate more effec-
tively on all levels to others.
Walt MacDonald will con-
duct a workshop on "Playing
and Solving Problems To-
gether." He received his
M.S.W. degree at the Univer-
sity of Michigan and a special
degree in humanistic
psychology at Merrill Palmer
Institute. He has a private
practice in Southfield and
specializes in relationships.

Dinner Club
Has Outing

The Community Network
for Jewish Singles' dinner
club will have dinner at the
Appe'teaser, 280 N. Wood-
ward, Birmingham.
The evening will begin with
hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar.
Cost of the dinner includes
entree, beverage, salad, bread,
tax and tip. Reservation

Class Offered

will begin a five-week class in
basic self-defense Feb. 20 at
1:30 p.m.
Dave Sabbach will teach
the class which includes basic
hitting techniques, weapons
on the body, vital targets,
blocking and basic self-
defense moves. There is a fee,
and pre-payment is required.

New York — The rights
guaranteed by the U.S. Con-
stitution are "frequently
misunderstood, taken for
granted and unused," accor-
ding to a new curriculum pro-
duced by the Anti-
Defamation League of B'nai
B'rith for use in secondary
schools.
Entitled "America's Cons-
cience: The Constitution in
Our Daily Life?' the cur-
riculum is aimed at educating
junior and senior high school
students on the importance of
constitutional rights and
warn against "the certain
dangers of losing them!'
