Club activities include the
sponsorship of Detroit River
Yachting Association-
sanctioned sail boat races and
a junior sailing program
which teaches boating and
sailing skills to both member
and non-member children
between the ages of nine and
17.
The club is entering its
36th season and opens the
summer boating season with
its annual "Early Bird Regat-
ta" to be held on May 21. The
awards and dinner are open
to the public by reservation.

Heisler Grove
Is Dedicated

A grove of 1,000 trees has
been established in memory
of David Heisler, by his wife,
Antonia Heisler and his
children, Irving and Aline
Schuraytz, Steven and Judy
Heisler and Dr. Albert and
Pauline Kamer.
This grove is located in the
B'nai B'rith Forest of Peace in
Shefer and is under the
auspices of the Women of
Jewish National Fund.
Mrs. Heisler has long been
a supporter of JNF and a sup-
porter member of the Women
of JNF.

Adult Classes
Are Offered

The Adult Study Commit-
tee of Cong. Beth Abraham
Hillel Moses has established
a series of classes and adult
study chavarot.
The classes include Con-
temporary Jewish issues with
Rabbi A. Irving Schnipper
starting Feb. 14, Classic
Judaic Texts with Cantor
Ben-Zion Lanxner starting
Feb. 18 and Jewish
Philosophy with Barry
Levine beginning Feb. 23.
These classes will meet mon-
thly from February until
June.
Mrs. Barbara Schnipper
will lead a series on "Living
Judaism," Shabbat (March 7),
Kashrut (March 14) and
Pesach (March 21). The
discussion will be on the prac-
tical side of Jewish
observance.
Dr. Gerald Katzman and
Stuart Farber are co-
chairmen of the adult study
classes. Charlotte Tessler is
co-ordinator of the adult
study programs.
There is a nominal charge
