Yehuda Elchonen, chair-
man of the sponsors commit-
tee, announces that a special
reception in honor of Rabbi
Yeruchim Olshin will be held
at 8:15 p.m. Feb. 9 in the
home of Mr. and Mrs.
Nusbaum, 15041 Burton,
Oak Park. The reception will
benefit the Beth Medrash
Govoha yeshivah.
Beth Medrash Govoha was
founded by the late Rav
Aaron Kotler in Lakewood,
N.J., in 1943, and has grown
to become the largest center
of advanced Talmudic studies
in the world. Student scholars
have pioneered the establish-
ment of 40 centers of Torah,
including the Kollel Institute
in Oak Park.
Guest speaker Rabbi Moshe
Eisemann is the dean of men
at the Ner Israel College in
Baltimore. He studied in
Gateshead Rabbinical Col-
lege and was graduated from
Beth Medrash Govoha. He
was a Talmudical rosh
yeshivah at the Philadelphia
yeshivah and is the lecturer
for "Dial a Shiur" which uses
the telephone for recorded
Torah messages.
He did the translation for
Artscroll Judaica on

Yecheskel, Divrei Hayomin,

and Iyov. Rabbi Eisemann
will speak on the "Primacy of
Torah Study in America."
Rabbi Arthur Gold will be
master of ceremonies at the
reception.

sions offered: Men's Class A,
B, C, 35 and over, and 50 and
over; Women's Class B, and C;
and a co-rec league.
