Hart, Jackier Re-Named
Bar-Ilan Chairmen

Sharon Hart and Lawrence
S. Jackier have been re-
appointed Detroit Bar-Ilan
general chairmen, announced
Phillip Stollman, honorary
chairman of Bar-Ilan's global
board of trustees.
Mrs. Hart has been active-
ly involved with the universi-
ty for many years, serving on
its executive board. She was
responsible for the revitaliza-
tion of the Detroit Chapter of
the American Women for Bar-
Ilan, which she served as
president for four years.
In addition, she is president
of Women's Division of the
Jewish Welfare Federation
and is its past campaign
chairmen. She is a Wexner
Heritage Foundation Scholar,
is on the national United
Jewish Appeal Campaign
Cabinet, sits on the Detroit
Jewish Welfare Federation's
Board of Governors, is a

member of the national
women's division board of
directors of the UJA, is first
vice president of Hillel Day
School, and is treasurer of
Mat Shalom Synagogue.
She received awards from
the Federation and the
Jewish Theological Seminary.
Prior to his appointment as
chairman, Jackier served on
Bar-Ilan's executive board
and led two UJA missions to
the university. He is an
associate chairman of the
Allied Jewish campaign and
chairman of its Conference of
Division Chairmen.
Jackier serves on the ex-
ecutive committee and is a
member of the board of gover-
nors of the Jewish Welfare
Federation, is a national vice-
chairman of the UJA, is on
the executive committee and
board of directors of the
Holocaust Memorial Center,
the board of trustees of the
UJA and is chairman of the
Detroit Project Renewal Com-

Lehman Award.
Hart and Jackier laid the
goundwork for Bar-Ilan's up-
coming "University on
Wheels" Israel mission in
March.
