MORE ALAN Teitel's Top
Ten. . . "Chicken instead of
veal — You can thank animal
lovers for this one! Treatment
of calves by farmers has caus-
ed its popularity to plummet.
Restaurant owners are
countering by replacing veal
with chicken in dishes such
as chicken parmigiana and
chicken marsala. It's
healthier, easy to prepare,
and tastes great. So bid the
Colonel 'ciao' cuz the
chicken's going Italian!
"Michael Feinstein — His
name will soon become a
household word. The nation's
hottest nightclub entertainer
since Bobby Short, Michael
Feinstein plays regularly at
the famed Algonquin Hotel in
midtown Manhattan. A Ger-
shwin protege, Feinstein
plays as the master intended,
does private parties for cafe
society, including Liza (yes,
Minelli), and emits an
elegance reminiscent of the
30s and 40s. He's definitely
the new toast of the town and
1988's hottest national per-
sonality!"
