Established
The M. Manuel Merzon
Memorial Fund has been
established at Akiva Hebrew
Day School, it was announc-
ed by Steven Z. Cohen, Akiva
president.
An attorney and a Detroit-
area resident for more than
70 years, Mr. Merzon was a
strong advocate of Jewish
education in general and
Akiva Hebrew Day School in
particular. He died Jan. 8. His
grandchildren and great-
grandchildren are alumni
and current students of
Akiva.
The fund, established by
Merzon's family and friends,
is part of the Akiva Endow-
ment Program, which pro-
vides perpetual support for
the school.

Wine Theme
